Awoke at 6 to check the conditions. I'm beginning to wonder why meteorologists get paid anything at all. Instead of being partly cloudy to clear with 5 mph winds, I was greeted by a thick, low overcast, and a direct headwind of 7 mph. And the sun hadn't even come up yet! The clouds overnead were scooting right along at a healthy speed, also not a good sign.

Rick Burns had shown up with his PPC, hoping to be my wingman to Toccoa. But we agreed that flying wasn't a good option. Perhaps the weather will break, and we'll be able to fly this afternoon.
