Lifted off from Needles early and flew to Searchlight. When I spotted the airstrip from a distance of 14 miles, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. It looked more like a ski slope down the side of a mountain. Sure enough, one end of the strip is 60 feet higher than the other. Rather odd.
We spent a few hours in a fruitless search for internet access, and then went back to the airstrip to tweak our planes and prepare for Boulder (61B).
